About Our Association
Formation of Association
But many Bee keepers involved in this profession have to face various problems from time to time. To get rid of these problems, the Progressive Beekeepers came together and formed the Progressive Beekeepers Association as per the guidelines of the Punjab Agricultural University. Which has been working as a registered body of the University since 2001 and has been continuously making efforts to help Indian beekeepers out of trouble. Sardar Baldev Singh Landa was made the first president of Progressive Bee Keepers Association Punjab. After that, Yogeshwar Singh Mangat (2003 to 2004) was the president for one year. While Gagandeep Singh Bobby, a talented young beekeeper was appointed as the President in 2004 to speed up the activities of the Association, under his presidency the Association also made him the Vice Chairman of the National Bee Board to carry out major tasks. Jitinder Singh Sohi and Kulwinder Singh were elected as members of the board from the fellow team. After Gagandeep Bobby became the Vice Chairman of the National Bee Board, four beekeepers made Gurnek Singh Brar (Malke) the President (2007 to 2012). While after this, Sarwan Singh Chandi (2012 to 2015), Simranjit Singh Billa (2015 to 2019) was the president. After this, Jaswant Singh Tiwana was the president for some time in 2019, he resigned due to his domestic obligations and the executive team made Narpinder Singh Dhaliwal the president to run the work of the association. The current general secretary Jagtar Singh Anjaan replaced Narpinder Singh. In order to revive the association together with Dhaliwal, under the instructions of the Punjab Agricultural University, the name was modified and registered under the name of PAU Progressive Bee Keepers Association Punjab. At present, the association is working under the leadership of Jatinder Singh Sohi, in which the team of General Secretary Jagtar Singh Anjaan, Vice President Charanpal Rai, Secretary Gurmeet Singh, Gurpal Singh Sandhu and Narpinder Singh Dhaliwal, Kuldeep Singh Narike are working as office bearers.

Working Procedure of the Association
The monthly meeting of PAU Progressive Bee Keepers Association is held on the first Wednesday of the month in which lectures are held from time to time on the points of beekeeping and honey marketing by expert doctors during the meeting/training. are not conducted, but information is provided to beekeepers with new topics every month for continuity of activity. Although the period of physical meetings remained closed during the Corona period, online meetings have been held with the help of Skill Development Center of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to discuss every problem of beekeepers, with the help of which the professionals have access to technical education on their farms. was ensured. Through this meeting, the executive committee of the organization and the future challenges and plans for the beekeepers are discussed in detail.
Objective of the Association
PAU Progressive Bee Keeper Association along with Reg:Punjab AAPG will also keep alerting the beekeepers about the current situation and problems facing beekeepers with this technology. The association is always striving to control the quality and stabilize the prices of honey. While today an exclusive effort has been made through this app to ensure the access of pure honey and bee products (which you will see further through the pictures) to the consumers in order to eliminate the adulteration of the reputed companies in the domestic market. Through which the domestic and international market demand for pure honey is continuously increasing and the association is always striving to fulfill this. The whole team works proactively to address the problems of beekeepers. Although the profession of beekeeping has started in Punjab and has spread to the whole country, but the beekeepers of Punjab have always been ahead. The association maintains constant contact with the Central Government, Punjab Government, National Bee Board and Horticulture Department and other related institutions. With which an effort is made to solve the problems of the beekeepers.
Achievements and Activities of the Association
Till now the time has been the achievements of the association in which efforts have been made to solve many problems of the bee keepers. With this PAU Progressive Bee Keepers Association has become the leading organization of the country.
